We are a family run firm, that respects nature and follows the guidelines of sustainable tourism.
On an old little farm, old farming ways are maintained, animals are loved, diligence of the employees is highly appreciated and an effort toward minimal carbon footprint is always on our minds.
In 2023 we received Travellife Gold certificate for sustainable tourist accommodation and consequently Slovenia green certificate as well.
Close to Idrija
Sever farm is located on the right bank of the Idrijca river, between Idrija and Spodnja Idrija. The location is perfect for it offers a natural getaway as well as the hustle of a little town. You can walk or cycle to Idrija on a beutiful, tranquil cycling route or you can hop on a bus that drives by regularly. A food store is 2 minutes walking distance away.

Idrija is a popular tourist destination in Slovenia. It attracts with the lace and mining heritage. Gewerkenegg castle offers an insight in the technical part of the mining history and also an interesting lace exhibition. One of the most popular attractions is also the Antonius shaft that takes you to the heart of the Idrian mining underground. The smeltering plant is a must for those who are interested in the history of mining machinery. In the year 2012, Idrija (together with the Spanish Almaden) was listed as Unesco sight.
In the heart of nature

The location of a town in a deep basin is touristically attractive. The hills surrounding it are densley overgrown by trees. The plateaus on the top of the hills offer breathtaking views and great local produce.
Don’t miss cycling and hiking on the numerous gravel roads in the midst of nature or fishing and swimming in the clearest rivers you have ever seen.
